Lifelong practices

Practices will be recorded down and accessible for life.

WEEK 01

Setting up a foundation that supports and accepts the practice.

  • Setting your practice up for success - Create your meditation space, Work on your meditation seat

  • Learning to stay and breathe - Creating a daily habit of 5 minutes to start, where we will learn to use the breath to train the mind
     

  • Content received to WhatsApp

- Daily 5-10 minute meditation to keep you on track

- Mindfulness contemplations and inspirations

WEEK 02

Experiencing the witness & tracking our stress triggers

  • Witness Consciousness - During this week's meditations we will watch thoughts as they arise and pass, like clouds in the sky

  • Non-attachment - We will learn how to observe thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them.

  • Mindfulness of thoughts - You will be guided throughout the day and prompted within WhatsApp to stop during the day to observe your thoughts and guide them back

  • Mindfulness meditation, zen meditation & shower meditation

  • - Exercises for practising non-attachment and observing without judgement.

WEEK 03

Cultivating Loving Awareness - Metta

  • What is Metta? Understanding the concept of loving awareness and how it transforms meditation.

  • Heart coherence Meditation: Practicing kindness towards oneself, a powerful practice to create inner harmony. It promotes emotional resilience, reduces stress, and enhances overall well-being, allowing you to tap into a deep sense of peace and connection within yourself.

  • Expanding Love to Others: Introduction to loving-kindness (metta) meditation, beginning with self and extending to others.

  • Heart-coherence meditation

  • Weekly contemplations and check-ins to observe the mind

  • Practice of Metta in day to day life.

WEEK 04

Understanding stress and emotional triggers and the ego

  • Understanding how stress shows up in your body and your triggers

  • The Ego: We will learn the difference between the ego and no-mind, to identify when our ego-self is controlling the show vs us living in the presen

  • Mantra: How to use mantras to control stress and our minds in day-to-day life.

  • Relaxation meditation
